Protectii v1.0.2 [Download torrents anonymously]-TechTools

What is Protectii Software?

Protectii is our software released to increase your privacy on the internet. This piece of software adds a layer of protection when you are downloading using uTorrent. It applies a huge filter with a massive amount of evil IPs and IP ranges like; Companies or organizations who are clearly involved with trying to stop filesharing(e.g. Baytsp, MediaDefender, MediaSentry), companies which anti-p2p activity has been seen from, government ranges or companies that have a strong financial interest in doing work for governments, legal industry ranges and most importantly malicious ranges that spread malware.This software is completely free.

Requirements: uTorrent 3.x, .NET Framework 2.0 and internet connection.

<t>What exactly does this do?.. and would it be a good replacement for the ipfilter.dat and auto-updater I currently use, please.<br/>
Thanks in advance.<br/>

Re: Protectii [Download torrents anonymously]

<t>Every time I update Protectii, it tells me to close Utorrent (whether it is or isn't running) then immediately says it's the first time I've run it and to update it.. again. Running Windows XP, have uttorent 3.3, .net framework.</t>

Re: Protectii [Download torrents anonymously]

<t>Try deleting the following files:<br/>
C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\uTorrent\ipfilter.dat<br/>
and/or<br/>
C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\uTorrent\ipfilter.dat.dp</t>

Re: Protectii [Download torrents anonymously]

Re: Protectii [Download torrents anonymously]

<t>Thanks but I told you I have Windows XP. Those folders are only found in Vista and Windows 7. I couldn't find the file ipfilter.dat on my computer at all. Thanks anyway</t>

Re: Protectii [Download torrents anonymously]

<r>Then it should be inside the uTorrent folder somewhere in Documents and Settings. But who uses XP anyway? <E>:p</E></r>

Re: Protectii [Download torrents anonymously]

<t>so I am getting the same problem as above (where it just constantly updates) and I dont have the two if files.</t>

Re: Protectii [Download torrents anonymously]

<t>THE FILE ipfilter.dat.gz DOES NOT EXIST. THE PROGRAM DID DOWNLOAD THIS FILE TO MY DESKTOP ONE OF THE 50 TIMES I TRIED TO USE IT IN A ROW. BUT PROGRAM STILL IS STUCK IN THIS DAMN LOOP AND THE APPLICATION IS UNUSABLE!!!!!!!!!!!!</t>

Re: Protectii [Download torrents anonymously]

<t>I'm using Windows 7 x64 and I'm having the exact same problem.<br/>
It keeps saying it's the first time it's being run, asking to be updated, and there's no possibility to activate the protection.<br/>
Went to the AppData\Roaming\uTorrent folder, but there are no IPfilter files there or anywhere else as far as I can see.<br/>
<br/>
Also, my AV (Comodo) gives off several malware warnings when I try to start Protectii and I get several errors about missing Plugins, like Tray.lmd and WinApi.lmd</t>

Re: Protectii [Download torrents anonymously]

<r>It already exist <URL url="http://www.peerblock.com/"><s></s>http://www.peerblock.com/<e></e></URL> for free and it shows the ips your in touch with.<br/>
Released blocked ips (like games).<br/>
It used to call <I><s></s>PeerGuardian<e></e></I> but it has been discontinued.<br/>
<br/>
I once used it but now im done (on new 98 years ago), don't care if ppl see my ip and never got blocked or the police at my doorstep or whatever...<br/>
<br/>
Check it out (or don't) and let me know how <I><s></s>Protectii<e></e></I> compares to this one.</r>

Re: Protectii [Download torrents anonymously]

<t>In case this helps, when it is trying to update it shows a definitions date of 2003-06-18 not 2013-06-18.<br/>
<br/>
But same problem on two machines. One XP and one 7.<br/>
